I was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. In the city. I am thankful for a childhood surrounded by culture and the arts and for the experiences the city offered, but somewhere along the way I became enchanted with the vast expanse of The West’s visual landscape, rich American history, and dramatic wildlife.
I attribute my “urban jungle” upbringing combined with my migration to the mountains to be the greatest influence on my style as an artist. My inspirations draw heavily from pop art, street art, outsider, and modern all the way to traditional western illustration. I have a hard time defining or categorizing my paintings. Although ‘Contemporary Western Art’ seems to feel like the best fit for now.
